Fasade Kitchen Panels Instructions

  • Tools needed

Fasade can be installed with just a few simple tools.

  • Clean the surface

Before starting make sure all surfaces are clean, dry, smooth, and free from dust, grease, wax, etc.

  • Measure and Lay out

Measure the area and make sure you have enough panels. Plan for cut-outs for electrical switches and outlets.

  • Cut panel if needed

Cut the panel if necessary using a sharp pair of scissors.

  • Or use a utility knife and straight edge

When using a utility knife, score the panel using a steel straight edge as a guide. Apply light pressure on the first pass with the blade and then gradually increase the pressure on a few more passes, there is no need to try to cut through the panel. Then bend back and snap like a sheet of glass.

  • Apply adhesive

Once it has been determined that all cut pieces fit properly, start at one end and apply adhesive to the back of the panel. The recommended adhesive to use is a 100% polyurethane construction adhesive. Apply panel adhesive, using approximately a 1/4" bead. Double-sided tape can also be used instead of adhesive. Available at Lowes.

  • Apply panel to wall

Place panel and press against substrate to apply pressure evenly across the panel to squeeze out the excess air. Wipe off excess adhesive with a damp sponge or cloth, clean off any adhesive residue that is visible while it is still wet.

  • Finish the edges

If the area to be covered ends on a flat wall, and you want to finish the cut edge of the last panel, it can be done by using a piece of matching Edge J-Trim. This trim piece slides onto the cut edge of the panel. Also, if you have an inside or outside corner, we recommend you use a piece of matching Corner Trim. Fasade Matching Trims are available at Lowes.

  • Finish installing your panels

Add additional panels in the same fashion.
