Commodore 20™ How To

  • To begin operations

    To prepare the Commodore 20 for use fill the solution tank with water then chemical.

  • Controls

    Easy-to-use controls reduce training time and increase productivity time.

    • Drive bar engages the drive mechanism
    • Vacuum Switch (Left)
    • Speed Dial (Middle)
    • Brush Switch (Right)
  • Vacuum Shoe Adjustment

    With the vacuum shoe in the up position. Press down on the vacuum shoe and turn the height selector to the appropriate cut-away notch. Release the vacuum shoe. When the release handle is dropped the vacuum shoe will now be set to the correct height.

  • Power Cord (Twist Lock)

    To connect the power cord align both ends and twist to lock. To unplug the power cord untwist and pull apart.

  • Jet Removal / Cleaning

    REMOVAL:
    To access the jets (either side), reach in and give the jets a quarter turn counter-clockwise. Then the jets can be removed for cleaning and maintenance.

    CLEANING:
    Soak the jets (overnight) in a solution of water and an ounce of vinegar.
    ***Do not stick objects into the orifice of the jet(s)***

  • Filter Maintenance

    Filter maintenance schedule is weekly to bi-weekly.

    Removal:
    Unscrew cap and remove the mesh filter. Clean both the cap and filter.

    Replace:
    Insert mesh filter into the cap, then screw in the cap. Do not over tighten.

  • Dome Removal

    To access the dome, unplug the hose.

    The filter attached to the dome contains a float shut-off mechanism. This filter needs cleaning when the recovery tank is emptied. The filter can be removed for thorough cleaning.

  • Accessory Hose Connection

    To configure your Commodore 20 for use with an external wand or hand tool. Remove vacuum hose, plug the PVC coupler into the hose and you can now connect an external vacuum line.

    The solution line will connect to the hose connector found at the bottom right of the machine.

  • Prepare for Storage

    To prepare your Commodore 20 for storage:

    • Empty the recovery tank
    • Rinse the tank, dome and float shut-off (attached to dome)
    • Empty and rinse the solution tank
    • After cleaning/rinsing leave the domes off for thorough drying
