    • Free Luv Women’s All Mountain Skis:

If you’re searching for the most versatile advanced all-mountain ski, the 2010-11 K2 Free Luv just may be the perfect tool for you. K2’s patented Mod Technology and new All-Terrain Rocker ensure excellent maneuverability in all types of terrain and conditions. The T:Nine Free Luv comes integrated with a K2/ER S 11.0 TC binding system for a lightweight setup to enhance your finesse and control.

    • Marker K2/MX System:

Working in conjunction with the integrated hubs, the Marker K2/MX provides unmatched precision and control on our highest-end A.M.P. models. The system uses Marker’s Inter-Pivot Heel technology and new light-weight Triple-Pivot Comfort MX toe for an even wider footprint than the previous MX. This new toe comes with a cross mounted spring, stainless steel AFD and backward release function.

    • Integrated Hub Technology:

Most precise transmission of power on wider skis Titanal hubs are embedded into the core of the ski for the most direct transmission of power. The system hubs are functionally wider with a 50mm footprint, which decreases the distance between the binding and the edge of the ski for added performance.

    • Women’s Specific Mod Structure:

The optimum location and thickness of mass differs from men to women. The aesthetic look of the women's Mod shape has also been customized with a softened, more shaped appearance that graphically ties into the design of the skis.

    • Women’s Specific Mod Monic:

Although the location for this targeted mass dampening is consistent between our men’s and women’s models, the amount of focused mass is different between the two lines of skis. Through extensive testing with the members of our Alliance team, we have selected the optimal MOD Monic mass for each model to dampen vibrations and provide a smoother ride. The women’s MOD Monic is designed to accent the overall look without sacrificing function.

    • Torsion Box Technology:

Torsion Box construction is the foundation for the widest range of skis designed by K2. Depending on the dimensions of a ski, and the amount of flex and torsion designed into it, one model of a Torsion Box ski can differ greatly from another. The versatility in the construction enables us to build everything from entry-level through expert skis. While there will be significant differences between a DarkSide and a MissConduct, they do share the common traits of ease, forgiveness, responsiveness, and energy that can be found in all Torsion Box skis.

    • Triaxial Braiding:

Triaxial braiding consists of braiding fiberglass around a wood core to provide torsional rigidity for added control. Developed in 1988 by K2 engineers, the patented triaxial braiding machine interlocks strands of fiberglass around a milled wood core. This unique method produces skis with great torsional strength, that maintains the lively flex patterns of the wood core.

    • Bioflex Core:

All of our women’s skis use a combination of fir and spruce in a unique core known as BioFlex, a process where a dense fir core underfoot is fused with lightweight spruce at the tip and tail to reduce swing-weight. With the Alliance’s involvement, K2 developed a technology specific for women: lightweight and easy to maneuver, yet sturdy and high-performance.

    • Forward Mounting Position:

All T:Nine skis are built with the midsole of the ski 2 cm forward relative to the standard midsole point for a men’s ski. This accommodates the anatomical fact that the center of mass for a woman is generally much lower than that of a man. By moving the midsole forward, it places the center of mass of the average woman in the optimum position over the ski, allowing for more control and easier turn initiation.

    • Green:

Bamboo and Paulownia stringers are used to add lightweight strength to the ski cores. These wood species are fast growing and locally sourced making them a better renewable choice than traditional cores.

    • Cap Construction:

Durable and lightweight “cap” skis are built by a sophisticated molding process that envelopes the core and internal materials with the top layer of the ski. Used throughout our ski line, cap constructions can be assembled with a variety of different cores. These variations, such as glass and/or metal materials, are the determining factors of the skis’ performance.

    • All-Terrain Rocker:

Featuring an elevated tip for variable and soft snow performance and camber underfoot for power, energy and edge-hold in firmer conditions.
