FAQ

Q. Describe the folding mechanism:

  • Remove the rain cover and fold back the hood
  • Make sure the front wheels are in the unlocked position
  • Locate three small handles on the back of the stroller (top is marked PRESS)
  • With left thumb, gently press down on the lowest handle closest to the brake
  • While still pressing down with left thumb, “pinch” the middle handle in a slight upward motion and the top handle in a slight downward motion (this action will release the safety system, and the front wheels will fold up into the stroller)
  • Hint: Immediately pulling the stroller in a backward direction will align the front wheels and thereby provide further ease in folding action
  • Push in the seat from the front until you hear a “click”
  • Stroller is now locked in its folded, upright position
  • Fold bumper bar flat by rotating upwards
  • Note: As you become more familiar with the Toro fold mechanism, you should be able to close it using just one hand

Q. Can you adjust the handlebar for height support?

Yes. The handlebar can sit anywhere between 37 and 42 inches from the floor. To re-adjust, simply use the Allen Wrench (included in the instructional packet) and re-tighten to the desired height and angle.

• Clean the frame with warm water (do not forget to wash away any sand or mud that may be stuck on sliding parts of the frame)

Scandinavian Child Micralite Toro Instructions

  • Preparing the Stroller For Use

Once out of the box, remove the two protectors from the end of the rear axle and discard.  Attach the rear wheels by sliding them onto the rear axle as shown A.  Press the wire clip B towards the center of the wheel to allow the wheel to fully engage.  Check the wheel is firmly connected.

  • To Open the Stroller

With the stroller standing upright , apply the brake.

  • Opening the Stroller Continued

Squeeze recline lock plungers C and D together on both sides and push down, which in turn will open out the front legs of the stroller.  Push all the way down until 2 clicks are heard.  Please ensure that latch E has engaged with bar D.  By squeezing recline lock plungers again, the seat can then be adjusted to the required angle of recline.  The stroller is now ready for your child.

  • To Fold the Stroller

If open, fold the canopy H.  If locked, release the front wheel swivel locks S.  Press down lever F with thumb, then at the same time lift handle E.  These actions will disengage the safety locks.  Pull up handle E in a swift movement to fold (Tip: Pulling the stroller in a backward direction will orientate the front wheels, easing the folding action).  Push in the seat from the front until a click is heard.  The stroller is now locked in the closed position.  Fold bumper bar J flat by rotating upwards.

  • To Adjust the Handlebars

Loosen the 2 bolts on the handlebar clamps G, using allen key supplied.  Adjust to required position and tighten bolts.

  • To Adjust the Recline of the Seat Back

Squeeze recline lock plungers C and D together and either push down or pull upwards until required angle of recline is achieved.  Please ensure that recline locks positively click into position.

  • To Operate and Adjust the Harness

To release the harness, depress the button in the middle of buckle K.  To fasten the harness, slide both fasteners L into the buckle until a click is heard.  To adjust the length of the waist straps, press button N and slide adjuster M to the required length.  To adjust the length of the shoulder straps, slide adjuster O to the required length.  The shoulder and waist strap should fit your child snugly.  Additional rings P are included for the attachment of a separate harness.

  • To Operate the Front Swivel Wheel Locks

To engage the swivel locks, push the stroller forward to align the front wheels, then simply push down on wheel lock S until it clicks in place.  To disengage locks, lift wheel lock S.

  • To Remove Hood and Bumper Bar

Unclip buckle Q at rear of hood then alternately press in the 2 white buttons on either side of the stroller, then lift off the hood and bumper bar assembly holding the bumper bar J and pulling in a forward direction.  To replace, simply push back into position until a click is heard.  The bumper bar can be removed from the hood by rotating in an upward movement until it comes to a stop, then flexing out the sides of the hood will allow the bumper bar to be released.  Reverse this operation to refit the bumper bar.

  • To Remove the Fabric Seat

With the hood removed, release zip R at back of seat unit and peel fabric off the frame.  Release buckle T on the underside of the seat pad, and from behind, and push fabric foot well forward.  Pull the seat unit from the front away from the tubular frame.
