    • 12-1/2" Swing Capacity:

      Large 12-1/2" swing capacity provides the largest capacity in its class

    • Electronic Variable-Speed:

      Electronic variable speed (250 - 4,000 RPM) with three pulley speed ranges that provide the required speeds needed to turn a project without changing belt position (not available on model 46-455)

    • Forward and Reversing Switch:

      Forward and reversing switch allows the user to achieve a superior finish. Sanding a turned piece with the grain causes the wood fibers to lay down and remain rough. Sanding a turned piece against the grain will cut the wood fibers smooth. Rotating the turned piece in both directions is the way to achieve this super smooth finish. With our competitors the turner would need to remount the workpiece backward to achieve this dual rotation. This is time consuming an often impossible. With the DELTA 46-460 it is a simple flip of the switch (not available on model 46-455)

    • Belt Tensioning System:

      Belt tensioning system (patent-pending) allows for easy and quick speed changes and sets the belt at the correct tension every time for maximum power transfer and longer tool life

    • Indexing Pin:

      Indexing pin locks the headstock spindle in 24 different positions for fluting and other decorative applications

    • Cast-Iron:

      All cast-iron construction provides stability and is extremely durable

    • Headstock & Tailstock Align to Within .016":

      Headstock and tailstock align to within .016" for accurate turning, hollowing and center drilling

    • Switch & Controls:

      Switch and controls are all located close to work zone for easy in-use access

    • 16-1/2" Center-to-Center Capacity:

      16-1/2" center-to-center capacity allows the user to turn long spindles without the extension

Reversible NOVA G3-D Woodturning Chuck

The only size G3 NOVA chuck with the ability to turn in reverse; Anti-Release Spindle Lock is an exclusive DELTA feature that ensures the chuck will stay securely mounted on the lathe during forward and reverse turning applications; Auto-Stop Jaw Slides inhibit the widening of the chuck jaws beyond their optimum clamping range insuring the material is properly secured; Enhanced jaw gearing provides extra smooth jaw movement and increased clamping pressure for maximum material support; Threaded chuck jaws increase surface contact with the material offering more secure clamping

MIDI-LATHE Stand

MIDI-LATHE stand provides a mobile and stable work support for the 46-455 and 46-460 lathes; Center crossbar provides storage for up to five turning tools

Modular MIDI-LATHE Bed Extension

MIDI-LATHE bed extension adds an additional 25-1/2" of length between centers to accommodate longer turning applications; Modular design allows you to connect multiple extensions; 1 extension: 42" of length between centers; 2 extensions: 67-1/2" of length between centers (We recommend no more than 2 extensions total)

MIDI-LATHE Modular Stand Extension

MIDI-LATHE modular stand extension provides a mobile and stable support for the 46-463 bed extension; For use with the 46-462 MIDI-LATHE stand; Modular design allows multiple extensions to attach to each other for support of multiple bed extensions; One stand is required for each bed extension addition
