  • RAID 5 Technology:

    Advanced RAID 5 offers the highest performance with the most reliable data recovery in the case of a drive failure. RAID 5 technology uses a clever algorithm to distribute your data over 4 SATA hard disk drives and, in the case of a hard drive failure, the DNS-343 will continue to function with your data intact

  • RAID 1 Technology:

    RAID 1 causes the drives in your enclosure to mirror each other, providing maximum protection.   If one drive fails, the unaffected drive in the partition will continue to operate normally. Once you replace the failed drive, RAID 1 mirroring will resume and both drives will mirror each other again. If there are four drives present, you can set up two separate RAID 1 partitions.

  • Robust Backup Software:

    The included backup software allows for a scheduled backup of files from a computer to the DNS-343. You can also back up manually or create entire system snapshots, which is a great way to protect against unexpected events resulting in the loss of files.

  • FTP and UPnP®:

    For flexible usage, the DNS-343 includes features such as a built-in FTP server to access files over the Internet and a UPnP Media server to stream digital content to compatible media players, such as those found in the D-Link MediaLounge® product line.
     

  • Scalable Solution:

    The DNS-343 is a scalable solution, allowing you to start off with one SATA hard disk drive (HDD) and add up to 3 more as you grow.

  • OLED Display:

    With a luminous and vivid OLED display, you can finally stop guessing what’s going on with your storage enclosure and let it tell you. It displays important information including IP address, hard drive statistics, temperature, RAID status, and server status (FTP and UPnP).

  • Easy Setup:

    With D-Link® tool-less installation, you can easily insert up to 4 SATA drives without any tools or attaching any cables.

  • Easy Search Utility:

    D-Link’s Easy Search Utility allows you to easily locate the DNS-343 from anywhere on the network. Once it is located, you can use the utility to map the hard drive so it will appear in My Computer on your PC.

  • Mac Friendly:

    Not to worry, Mac users … the DNS-343 can automatically back up your data regardless of your computer’s operating system (Windows®, Mac®, or Linux®).

  • 10/100/1000 Gigabit Port:

    The DNS-343 comes with a 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet Port giving you blazing fast speeds so you can back up your stuff without the wait.

  • Cooling Fans:

    The DNS-343 features two cooling fans that only come on when hard drives need cooling, saving you power and money.

  • USB Print Server Included:

    The DNS-343 can also serve as a USB print server, allowing you to share a single USB printer with your network.

    The USB port can act as a print server port, allowing a USB printer to be added to your network without the need for a dedicated computer.

    The USB port can also support a Universal Power Supply (UPS) monitor that supports ‘smart’ signaling over a USB connection. If a power outage were to occur, the compatible UPS monitor would allow the UPS unit to safely shut down the DNS-343.
