Locate your Flat Beater, a dime and a flat head screw driver.
These tools will be required to make the adjustment on your Tilt-Head Mixer.
You will notice here the dime is not being moved as the Flat Beater rotates in the bowl. This indicates the Flat Beater is not properly adjusted.

Your Tilt-Head Stand Mixer's "Beater to Bowl" clearance can easily be adjusted by following the steps below:
Unplug your Mixer
Tilt the head of your Mixer back and locate the screw in the hinge area as shown to the right.
Turn the screw about a quarter turn counter clockwise to raise the Flat Beater.
Turn the screw about a quarter turn clockwise to lower the Flat Beater.

Once you have made your adjustment replace the dime into the bowl.
With your Flat Beater on your mixer put the Mixer-Head into the down position.
Turn the Mixer on to the "Stir Position".
When properly adjusted, the Flat Beater will gently nudge the dime around the bottom of the bowl.
